I had been into photography for pretty much all my life.
And then I had my three adorable kids.
The need to capture great photos of those grubby fingers
and savor the sweetness of those faces consumed me.
Telling the story of my little loves and
their lives was such favorite part of mine.
I scrapbooked feverishly, took photography classes,
and saved every spare penny for a year to buy my first real camera.
This was back in the era of film, so even though I was a stay at home mom,
all our family's extra money went to developing those precious photos.
There was lots of practice,
lots of play, lots of classes,
lots of saving for gear...
Eventually my friends began to notice my emerging skills
and they began to ask me to help them create
the kinds of photos that I love.
That turned into a business that works so well for our family.
Most days I work from home and am here for our kids- now teenagers.
The rest of the time, I am usually outside in Alaska's beauty,
savoring it and the people I am with
through the lens of my favorite toy: the camera.
Its a lot of fun, seeing the beauty. It all began....-Heather
