It’s hard to believe I have been at it so long! I started celebrating Alaska’s families and weddings over two decades ago.

That makes us sound old, we realize. Instead, can we just say we are experienced?!

My goal is to become a friend, enjoy you through photography, chase and create pretty light… all to hang happy memories on your walls.

It all began...

Settle in for story time, friends.

I had been into photography for pretty much all my life. And then I had my three adorable kids. The need to capture great photos of those grubby fingers and savor the sweetness of those faces consumed me. Telling the story of my little loves and their lives was such a favorite part of mine. I scrapbooked feverishly, took photography classes, and saved every spare penny for a year to buy my first real camera. This was back in the era of film, so even though I was a stay at home mom, all our family’s extra money went to developing those precious photos.

There was lots of practice, lots of play, lots of classes, lots of saving for gear…

Eventually my friends began to notice my emerging skills and they began to ask me to help them create the kinds of photos that I love. That turned into a business that worked so well for our family. Most days I was able to work from home and was there for our kids- now full blown adults.

When I’m not lugging around a camera, I am usually outside in Alaska’s beauty, catching fish and laughing a full belly laugh with my husband.

It’s a lot of fun, seeing the beauty.
