Ahriel and Frankie Adkins

Creekside Lodge; Big Lake Alaska
Frankie and his guys are all such fun characters!
^I love the guy “shaving” with the hatchet. Sooo funny!
Sassy!
The ceremony with everyone squinting through the sunlight to catch a glimpse of gorgeous Ahriel.
After the ceremony, Ahriel and Frankie chose to treat their guests to a fun chocolate fountain and other appetizers while we worked on getting the family and wedding party photos finished up for the day.
This first one is my favorite:
Love this:
If I were to pick one photo from this wedding to print huge, it would be this one:
It was a sunny day, but the mosquitos were out IN FORCE. At one point I was shooting along and Oxana (the second shooter for the day) had snuck up behind me and was doing a sneak attack with the bug spray on my arms and back.
Another favorite:
The Creekside Lodge is gorgeous!
Wrapped around Ahriel’s long stemmed roses was a locket that was borrowed from her cousin Maggie. Inside the locket were ashes from Ahriel’s Aunt Sylvia who passed away in December.
All the little details that Ahriel put together for her guests to enjoy added up to a gorgeous reception!
During the toast, Ahriel’s Maid of Honor surprised her with a special video from her friend stationed in Afghanistan! Ahriel was moved to tears at his sweet words.
The Culinary Catering Service can kick out some sumptuous food, let me tell you! Those guys were hopping to get everyone their dinners!
When Ahriel and Frankie’s wedding cake arrived in really poor condition, Ahriel’s mom and Heather Hoyt and Holly Peterson saved the day with fresh strawberries and chocolate from the fountain! It turned out really fun! Nice save ladies!
Fun idea for instead of a guest book!
Check out that rock! (And if you look closely, you can see me in the reflection!)
Frank’s Dad gave him the awesome gift of bringing his band, AK Rail, to the reception to get those dancing feet moving!
During the first dance, two of Ahriel’s friends sang the sweetest love song.
The energy was high while AK Rail played.
Pretty fierce competition.
This is why I love having two professional shooters at each event… I never could have gotten both of these angles with only one photographer:
After the maid of honor and one of the best men caught the garter and bouquet, He proceeded to put the garter on the maid of honor. It was some pretty funny stuff!
The evening ended as the light softened into that golden glow that we get in Alaska towards the evening….
Congratulations to Ahriel and Frankie as they begin their new lives together!
