We are stuck in a holding pattern with our seasons right now… It isn’t exactly fall, and yet it isn’t exactly winter. But it is still Alaska, so it is gorgeous!
John and Angela chose to do their engagement sessions in one of the most beautiful spots around: the King River and Sutton area… As we were driving there, it was all I could do to not pull over and shoot at every corner. It is that gorgeous. But I controlled myself, and we started at our predetermined spot: The lovely King River where it empties into the Matanuska.
This is a spot that I have longed to shoot at for simply years… and I GOT TO! 🙂 It is the historic coal washing station in Sutton. Check out those cool archways and the rustic stonework… perfect for some romantic portraits.A rose bush had some killer rose hips… When we first saw them, we literally thought they were tomatoes! So I had to use them as an excuse to do another ring shot.
By then we were all quite chilled. So, back to Palmer we drove and enjoyed Turkey Red’s veggie soup for a yummy lunch and added in a consultation at the end.
We had just a few more shots we wanted to get, so we used the park strip in Palmer for some more fun shots.
This is a favorite: A spontaneous dip is the perfect ending photo!
Thanks John and Angela for the super fun morning…
