Brittany and Ryan Blackwell-
Crow Creek Mine; Girdwood Alaska
I keep packing my umbrellas for all the weddings this summer, but as of yet… we haven’t needed them! Once again, the forecast called for pouring down rain but we ended up with lovely sunshine! If you have lived in Alaska for any length of time, you know exactly the exultant feeling we get when we finally feel that warm light come out from behind the clouds… we all come alive! That was the gift the mother nature gave these two for their wedding day. It was a pretty one!
It takes many people to make an event this beautiful. Thank you to all the vendors that made this day sparkle!

Brittany was just about to don her gown when we met up in her hotel room at the Alyeska Resort in Girdwood Alaska. She had all of her pretty little accessories laid out, ready to go! I just loved all of her little details and beautiful selections.
Such sweet moments for a mother and daughter.
Gorgeous!
We rode the tram up to the top of the mountain, and what a beautiful scene it was! The tourists really enjoyed seeing a beautiful bride with the mountains and snow…
And then it came time for Brittany and Ryan to see each other for the first time. As Ambience Photography’s second shooter, Igor, led Ryan to Brittany, you could feel the excitement!
What a setting for their first glimpse!
With the inlet behind them and the joy in her eyes, it was so beautiful.
And then Brittany pinned on his Boutonniere.
After a quick tram ride down the mountain, we spent a few moments taking photos around Crow Creek mine.
I love the forest around Girdwood. Its just magical.
Ryan and his boys were looking sharp!
Alaska’s state flower, the forget-me-not, was everywhere at the mine. It was just beautiful!
Crow Creek Mine just installed this pretty gazebo in Ceremony Meadow this spring! It makes such a nice backdrop for wedding vows.
When they came in to the reception tent, they went immediately into their first dance!
So many beautiful things to photograph at the mine and with Brittany’s beautiful Alaskan decorations!
Guests were treated to a delicious popcorn bar from Jazzy Bopcorn
The toasts were true to form and heartfelt. Brittany’s dad made everyone cry.
And the party really started with H3 on hand to get things moving!
Celestial Sweets created this beautiful cake for the occasion.
The flower toss was especially fun due to some good natured times between a couple of the ladies.
Hilarious!
And then our time at the Blackwell wedding came to an end. Ryan and Brittany took a little walk down the lane for out final moments together.
Brittany and Ryan, we hope your lives are filled with even more love than we witnessed on your beautiful wedding day!
Many thanks to Second Camera, Igor. We made a great team!
