Rebecca & Hunter
What a detail oriented wedding! Rebecca’s family home was decked out like none other for her special day. Her parents had built an adorable pond, a flowing stream with a little stone bridge and a gorgeous gazebo with billowing fabric… the work of years. It was gorgeous! You can tell that this was one daddy that was super proud of his little girl.
Check out those hand made benches! I love the cottonwood uprights with the old style preachers pew backs and benches. What a great idea for some classy seating. All hand made for the special ceremony.
Everything was laid out in anticipation… including this adorable gown for the flower girl! I love the fluff!
Meanwhile, Rebecca was upstairs finishing up her preparations with the super talented Sara Edgerton from B Bella Spa and hair design. Fantastic job!
After taking a few moments to photograph that GORGEOUS gown… I went downstairs to the pool room, where the boys were getting ready. Hunter was just finishing up and looking good!
What a fun group of gentlemen.
How perfect are those pillows!?! If you know this couple and their relationship, you know how true it is!
I love a little funky processing every now and then. Gorgeous Rebecca!
Of course we had to use the setting that her dad made for her. It was the perfect backdrop for her bridal photos.
Golly, could she be any more beautiful?
Rebecca’s flowers were amazing. I love all the frosty green accents… perfect to go with her grey, ivory with pops of bright orange themed wedding.
Such personality!
This might be my favorite photo of her. It might. There are so many, how could I pick?
Another look at those flowers. So beautiful!
And then our flower girl came out in her fun dress! The whole morning she had been asking “Is it time to put my gown on yet!” And then it was time. She was super happy!
The forest in the back yard was the PERFECT setting for family and wedding party photos. Beautiful ladies in a gorgeous setting. What could be better?
Love this one of the flower girl! So cute!
Then guests began to arrive for the big moment!
The ring bearer’s box was all laid out and ready for him! I love all the little handmade touches that Rebecca and hunter spent hours and hours on! It made such a difference!
Literally moments before ceremony some uninvited guests showed up! Three beautiful horses galloped in out of nowhere, and had a snack of the fresh and carefully manicured grass right beside the ceremony site. One of the guests had a rope in his truck and another guest improvised by putting a coat around the horses neck to lead them away. The horses spent the rest of the afternoon penned up in the neighbors back yard. That was a first for me!
And then it was time!
Rebecca and Hunter’s ceremony was quick but filled with heart.
These two cuties were so well behaved and looked so good during ceremony.
Mr. & Mrs.!
Making it legal!
Meanwhile the guests enjoyed some amazing appetizers during the cocktail hour as hosted by Alaskan Events and Catering. I love how their food isn’t just tasty… but looks so pretty with edible flowers and custom glassware not to mention their excellent service.
We quickly took some photos of the newlyweds… they had a party to get to!
Love this one!
When we got to the reception, every single little thing was laid out to perfection. It was looking amazing!
I loved these adorable chalk board labeled glasses on top of all the antique furniture. Great idea!
There was a kids toast table… with chocolate chip cookies and milk jars with straws… made me wish “I” was a kid.
Rebecca created a table to remember all the family and friends that would have been there to celebrate “if heaven weren’t so far away”.
When Rebecca and Hunter came in, they immediately went into their first dance.
And then it was time for the feast!
Roasted veggies… meatballs with fresh rosemary… chicken with some sort of creamy cheesy sauce that makes my mouth water just thinking about it… crisp salad with berries and homemade dressings… all garnished with edible flowers. Alaskan Events and Catering never disappoints.
And here they are! Alaskan Events and Catering with Chef Kirsten.
Even the drinks looked amazing on top of their giant spools in a barrel of ice. Classy!
Guests affixed money to a tree with hand painted clothespins.
Eric with Alaska Professional Entertainment is one of my favorite DJ’s . He led the couple in the shoe game… and it was extra hilarious with the questions he asked about the roles each partner plays in the relationship.
Here is another glimpse at the place settings. So classy!
These ladies were so funny! Friendships like these are something to celebrate!
When it came time for the toasts, Rebecca’s brothers took the cake with their funny toasts. Her little brother came out with something behind his back and said… “I’d like to give you both a toast!” and then pulled out a REAL piece of toast. It was funny and creative.
There were tears and laughter. It was a good time.
Check out this cake! It was massive! I would guess with the barrel stand it ended up being 5 feet tall.
I love Rebecca’s warning finger that says “Be nice”… and then expression when it doesn’t go HER way.
Oh! He got her! Can’t have that without reprisals.
Good job Rebecca.
I absolutely ADORE all the expressions in this photo. From dad’s grin in the background to the giggling of the aunties in the far right. It just cracks me up!
He got it!
And Rebecca’s brother caught it.
Which was the PERFECT lead in to this next segment. When Rebecca and Hunter were discussing their wedding planning years ago, these two promised Rebecca that if she decorated her wedding with purple and gold, then THEY would wear dresses to her wedding. She held them to it… and even provided some lovely matching purple dresses. It was pretty funny.
What characters! I wish you could see them dance, it is hysterical!
And then the party REALLY started. Have I mentioned how much I love a party that is run by Alaska Professional Entertainment? They really know how to keep things moving and FUN.
With all that gorgeous weather, the party flowed from inside to outside. There was lots of fun!
The dancing was pretty epic!
As the night ended with that lovely golden glow, I drove away with that tired happy feeling. It was a gorgeous day.
Thanks so much for allowing us to be a part of your gorgeous day!
