Here are a few photos of us from the past months… I just love my little family. They are my favorite subjects! 🙂
These first few are from a trip to Kodiak with my huz…. Check out this set of cool stairs we found in the woods. Very random but awesome! This was taken at about 11:30 pm. Gotta love our midnight sun! 🙂
We always forget how close we live to the ocean… seriously only a few miles. (If that!) But the ocean near us is dangerous to play in due to all the glacial silt and mud. So it was super fun to walk along the beach in Kodiak. This is a hand held shot with a long exposure. I had to really hold my breath for this one! 🙂Fort Ambercrombe was an important military base during WWII, and Mason and I spent an hour or two wandering around…. Here is a gun barrel from a spiked gun… 🙂Gorgeous, huh! 🙂Sunshine… Gotta enjoy it when you can!A little saying that was on the wall in the museum…. I thought it was pretty cool. After I got home I researched the guy who said it, and he was the bigwig that is credited with starting the airforce. Pretty cool!We got a stranger to take this one for us. 🙂
We really had the best time in Kodiak, but it was way too short.
This is a photo I took as a self portrait project. It was a “getting ready for bed” “bathroom mirror” inspired photo. I actually won a little photo contest with it, so that was pretty fun. I think it is pretty interesting that all of the faces in the photo are reflections… including the one looking right at the camera. But only that one is within the depth of field. I don’t really understand the science behind how that worked out, but it did! 🙂
Blueberries at Hatchers Pass. mmmmmm“I think if you climbed up and over that mountain, and went in a straight line you would end up at our house.” He was pretty much right.Ha ha, dorky moments. Worth celebrating! (And saving until they have girlfriends / boyfriends to show.)I found a whole bunch of baby Ptarmagin… They were super cute and made a little “quacking” sound. It was pretty fun to see them in the wild.Aaaand Mercy wins by a slim margin…Lucy… our dumb doggie that we all kind of like. (Some more than others.) I hate it when a photo just sits on a computer and isn’t enjoyed by anyone… so thanks for putting up with a few fam photos so I can feel better about the terrabites of pics that are lost in the vault.
