Visnja & Tanner
It wasn’t puppy love. It was a forever love. You could tell by the way he treasured how she looked at him. And by the balanced care she put into making sure that their celebration was perfect all the while investing her time into her ultimate goal for the relationship: marriage. After years of being together, it was time.
Visnja’s picture of an ideal setting for her wedding day preparations was actually my studio. After taking a look at her photos, I have to agree! I love my little nest for photography!
That little white chair and gorgeous red couch from BeVintage Rentals were just perfect to display the shoes and jewelry! What a great setting!
Her bridesmaids were there to help with all the little details. And her Mom and Grandma fastened all of those millions of buttons with only their fingers.
She placed their rings into a carefully handcrafted box.
Tanner’s mom came to help him with his boutonniere. It was a sweet moment. She kissed him on the cheek, and then he was ready.
This is what happiness looks like:
They chose to do a first look… so Tanner’s best man blindfolded him and led him to his bride. When she untied his blindfold, it was all smiles and hugs.
Then they read each other their personal vows. These were vows written for each other’s ears and eyes only… it was a beautiful moment. I was touched to be able to be a witness.
The entire day, the forecast for rain kept being pushed back. As you can see, it was stunningly sunny! What a lovely wedding day gift for Visnja.
For a fun place to take photos of these two, we went off to the Transportation Museum in Wasilla. It was a fun place for vintage feeling photos!
We even got special permission for them to sit in a few of the cars!
The trains are always a great and unique place for photos.
When the Wedding Party joined, they really made the term Wedding PARTY… come to life!
These guys were hilarious! My side ached from laughing with all their crazy comments and ideas for photos!
Thats a seriously good looking group of folks!
The wedding was to be held at Settlers Bay Lodge, up by the Knik Goose Bay. We took advantage of the mountains across the bay, off in the distance for the family photos.
There were so many lovely details.
Love that pull back shot from one of our newest second shooters: Wayne Miller! Great job!
Off to the reception! I don’t know how many countless hours Visnja spent working on these lovely decorations!
I love her thumbprint guest book!
Check out this great photo booth! All the props and a Polaroid camera! Great idea!
The Best Man had the guests rolling! It was very funny!
I love how family plays such a huge role in weddings! Visnja had a table set up with photos of each of them as children with their families. She sure did it up cute!
One of my favorite words ever: cake!
There was a big cake for cutting… and a million cupcakes for snagging!
And then the party truly started! Even Grandma and Grandpa Hamilton were out there dancing! The women in Visnja’s family shared a traditional Bosnian dance! You had to be quick on your toes for that one!
Tanner was a great showman as he slid across the floor to get the garter!
Then all the gentlemen went outdoors to smoke some special cigars they had gotten for the occasion!
This amazing group of women were part of Visnja’s sorority!
And then at precisely 7:10, we lit the sparklers for the sendoff!
Congratulations to Visnja and Tanner! What a beautiful day! You are going to have a wonderful life together!
Many thanks to all the Wedding Vendors that helped to make the day sparkle: ||Ambience Photography || BeVintage Rentals || Hanna’s Hair Expressions || Alaska Wedding DJ || Settlers Bay Lodge || Transportation Museum
