Melissa & Philip
April 7, 2011
It is a rare thing for a family to overwhelm me with their sweetness, because I really do have an extra sweet family of my own. (I’m not bragging, its just a fact! Haha!)
My favorite thing about this wedding was the spirit of family and love that that exuded from each person. It was beautiful! Jodie (mother of the groom) contacted me just a couple weeks before the event, and we met up, because the bride and groom were out of state. And to my surprise, the father of the groom came along to the consult as well. This marks the VERY first time the father of the groom came to a consult. And he came to *two* of them. Jodie planned the entire event in just a few weeks, and poured her heart and soul into every single detail. All that to say, I just loved how every person in the family was focused on surrounding Melissa and Philip with their love and blessings for their future together. They reserved the day for family and very close friends, so Michael and I were two of the 11 people present. It was really very intimate and very sweet.
Other vendors that made the day special: Verda’s Cakes and Things; Settlers Bay Resort; Alaskan Splendor, limo service; Carrs florists; & the Captain Cook Hotel.
Pretty handsome, huh! 🙂
And meet Philips nephew, Darian! He was an awesome ring bearer!
Melissa has such gorgeous, rich, brown eyes… Absolutely love her!
Caught this one while Melissa waited for Philip to come for the first glimpse… LOVE the back of her gown!!
Check out this fun pullback of me working with the bride & bridesmaid taken by Michael! You can see the photo I took in the collage down below: Ceremony time…. Love the look of anticipation Melissa gives Philip as she enters… 🙂
Love this shot! They look sooo happy!
Off to the reception… Settlers always does such lovely catering… It was sooo delicious!
Isn’t this one fun?:There was the sweetest slideshow playing after a bit… lots of the guests cried.
We snuck away to a pretty little spot with a creek and a bridge… 🙂 By the way, there was no snow the day before, or after…. BUT on the wedding day, we had a lovely little blizzard. That didn’t stop Melissa or Philip from having their fun photo session outside….
