Arctic Valley
Marah Hild-Ladebauche & Philip Lambert were married on one of those unpredictable days Alaska always has on offer… the question we all had was it going to storm or be sunny?! They ended up with a bit of both and it turned out just right.
I met up with Marah as she was getting ready at her new mom in law’s house. They have a lovely little Eden right in the middle of Eagle River. It was the perfect bridal suite.
She found her shoes at Nordstrom.
Marah’s theme for the wedding was fireweed and blueberries and there were pops of them everywhere… So pretty. So Alaskan.
Hannah’s Hair Expressions (@hannah_feece_hair) did her hair and Change Droege (@chaaance) did her makeup.
Marah got her gown and veil from New York Bride & Groom and it was designed by Allure
Of course it rained! Its Alaska in July! Marah didn’t let it get her down. She rocked that fireweed and umbrella look!
The ceremony was set up so beautifully. The only thing missing were the two loved ones that had gone before. A special seat was set up in memory of Marah’s mom and Aunt.
She felt the vows so deeply you could see her heart.
Married!
And the sun came out!
The ladies got their gowns from Davids Bridal and the Fellas got their suits from Men’s warehouse
Oooh, I love their gorgeous Giamante rings.
They came back for the reception to cheers!
Jordan with AK Happenings had the reception decorated SO beautifully. Marah just had to show up! It was stunning!@akhappenings
Her flowers were done by Lily of the Valley @lilyofthevalleyfloralco
The guests enjoyed some fine appetizers beautifully presented by Masters Catering.
Dinner was served, toasts were held!
And then the couple moved into their first dance.
Marah and her father had a bouncy tune for their special dance!
After which arah gave him a special box in remembrance of her mother.
Philip had tears streaming as he held his mom for their first dance.
And all the guests joined in.
I love Philips dad’s expression as he watches his wife be loved on by his son.
What a gorgeous and simple cake! Ardy Cakes @ardycakes made this masterpiece and all the accompanying desserts.
Marah and Philip had a puzzle made of one of their engagement photos! Guests had a great time putting it together.
By then we just had to get outside to enjoy some of that nice weather.
We came back inside for the shoe game, which always keeps the guests laughing.
And then the tunnel of arms sendoff, with each guest shouting cheers for the couple!
And they were off, beginning their lifetime of love.
It was such a lovely day! We were so thankful to be included!
