You know the term, love at first sight? Well it didn’t happen for these guys. They met at work. Gabe was supposed to train Carly for her new job, but he really really wanted to get off work that day. So he trained her, but half heartedly. Little did he know, her gorgeous smile, fun personality and THOSE eyes would win him over in the months ahead! Now they are absolute best friends and have been laughing and loving for years with their sweet pup. We spent their wedding day enjoying their fun friendship and the beautiful sights at Alyeska. And for once this summer, it didn’t rain!
Those rings! I love them in their woodland setting and the pinecones!
Gabe was ready. So we took a few moments to work with him. He looks quite dapper!
The house they rented for bridal prep was really perfect. It had two cabins connected by a covered bridge over a rushing stream. So the groom and groomsmen got ready on one side of the creek, and the bride and bridesmaids got ready on the other. Worked like a charm!
These ladies love each other so fiercely! Carly’s mom and sister were on the edge of tears of joy all day. It gave me all the feels, thats for sure.
We went up the tram for a few bridal photos…
Gabe came out blind folded and led by his first man for their first glimpse.
He started to look at Carly and then realized he couldn’t see her without his glasses! So he had to pause and put them on. Thats when the smiles exploded out of them!
The inlet barely peeked out of the clouds that day!
Carly’s sisters eyes filled with tears… and she had the perfect handkerchief… “No ugly crying”.
I love the view from the shop up there!
The tram ride down is so beautiful!
I love a good silhouette! Many wonder what the difference between the previous photo and this one is… its all about lighting! We can do some fun things with our lights.
The bridesmaids met us at the little bridge for their photos.
… and when Carly’s dad showed up, nobody could hold back their tears. It was a special moment.
Gabe and his boys made some fun photos! You can tell this crew is a blast to play with!
Haha, the moose photo! I love it!
It was almost time for the ceremony. The flowers at the Alyeska Resort are always so beautiful!
Ok, so I have been to a few (hundred) weddings, and this officiant is one of my favorites! He was hilarious! He began the ceremony with “In a galaxy far, far away…” And when he began the segment on the rings, he quoted a bit from Lord of the Rings “One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them, One Ring to bring them all, and in the darkness bind them” We were all cracking up!
And then the broke the glass and yelled Mozle Tov! (Which means Congratulations and best wishes!)
She walked in Carly Pearl, and walked out Carly Lugo!
The wedding party took a few moments to congratulate each other and Carly, her sister and mom held each other with tears streaming!
Meanwhile, Alyeska had the ballroom decked out!
Guests were invited to enjoy the fruit, nut and cheese appetizers and to play with the selfie photo booth.
Love that hashtag #LugoingToTheChapel !
And then Carly and Gabe came into the room to the sound of cheers and well wishes! Lou from R & R Entertainment had the crowd pumped up!
They swept into their first dance!
The food at Alyeska is always so DELICIOUS. I think my second shooter, Ryan, was in heaven with those Oysters.
And I just loved the crab. The wedding feast was amazing!
The father daughter dance was so special!
Instead of throwing a garter, Gabe threw a plastic sword! That got the guys into it!
The dance party was a blast! Lou at R & R Entertainment knows how to get the crowd moving!
Carly had thought of everyone at her wedding! There were even coloring books and games for the little ones to play!
Congratulations to Carly and Gabe!
We truly enjoyed working with you!
