Aubrey and Austin
February 22, 2013
If family were the current currency, Aubrey and Austin are a wealthy couple! These two are blessed with a many good people that love them. From the littlest babies, to the Grandmas and Grandpas, each person in the Mallory / Sims / Bales / Doner families had a treasured part of the wedding. And for one day, I was lucky enough to be welcomed as an honorary member of this sweet family.
I love the lace on her gown. Simply gorgeous.
The whole family came to watch Austin as he glimpsed his gorgeous bride for the first time on their wedding day. He wasn’t disappointed in the least!
And then we went outside into the snow for some pretty photos of these two.
Aren’t Aubrey’s two fur coats amazing?
Aubrey’s Grandma Sims lent her the coats for the wedding… and then as a surprise gave them to her for a wedding gift. What a neat gift with a lot of history. And practical for an Alaskan winter’s wedding too!
I have had many many brides tell me that they hope there is no snow or rain for their wedding day. I say the opposite! Snow and rain are so magical in photos! <3
I couldn’t decide which processing I preferred… so I did one of each! Such a great moment.
Had to have a little fun in the snow with these great groomsmen!
I love it that we have all these photos outside in the blizzard. What fun and unique setting for family photos! 🙂
This one! (One of my favorites!)
Beautiful! Aubrey waiting for the big moment.
These boutonnieres by Rachel Bylsma were awesome! So practical… and they lasted all day and through the night… even in the blizzard!
And the bouquets were also made by Rachel! So beautiful!
Our Lady of the Snows was really shining after the loving decorating given to it by Aubrey and Austin’s family. (That bouquet in the front is probably 6 feet tall!)
Since the flowergirl is just a few months old, she was pulled down the aisle, on a sleigh, by the ring bearer. It was so adorable.
As Aubrey walks down the aisle, Austin looks at me and makes a “Fist pump”! haha! I love it!
Married!
Aubrey’s sister signs the marriage license… making it official! <3
Photos like this one are one reason I JUST LOVE having a second shooter for every wedding. This was taken while I was shooting the family photos after the wedding… what a great moment! 🙂 Great Job Tracy!
All of the tables were numbered with photos of Aubrey and Austin at the age of the table number. What a great idea!
Alyeska has some of the very best food! Delicious! And Pretty!
The first dance:The father daughter dance… Have I mentioned how much I love that part of a wedding day?
What a stunning cake by The Hotel Alyeska Bakery Chef! I love the fondant lacy accents.
It’s not nice to have such heart filled speeches during the toasts… Its difficult to take photos while tearing up. Seriously, a very touching moment.
I couldn’t choose one photo… the whole flower toss series is so fun… so into a filmstrip they go!
Austin is so hilarious! Instead of pulling out the garter he pulled out a pair of grammy panties… and then a little red lacy number… and then finally the garter.
This was the CUTEST moment ever. During the dollar dance, a kindly man hooks up the ring bearer with some cash and explains the process to the little guy. I love how shy he looks as he waits and then finally gets to dance with the bride.
It was a real swinging party, with M & M Productions setting the groove.
As the evening continued, the storm passed… and the gorgeous night sky over Alyeska Mountain and hotel was clear and bright.

And no blog post is complete without a couple outtakes:
Here is me showing the groom and groomsmen some of the goodness:
I think I need to get these two to come along and stand behind me for more photo sessions… They were hilarious while they were trying to get the baby to smile. It was making the entire wedding party crack up!
