Alana and Cory Nerup
Prospector glam.
That is how Alana described her plans for her wedding day decor…
I may have shouted “I’m in!” as soon as she said those words.
Alana and Cory are lovers of all things Alaska. Alana works for the Alaska Railroad as a tour guide, so she has some incredible little tidbits to share every where you go!
Of course we went to the Transportation Museum and had photos on Antique Railroad Cars.
Their first glimpse was held outside an old Railroad Depot building. Cory came around the corner and kissed her hand. What a romantic!
Cory looks like a distinguished man of the era.
As they waded in Cotton Wood Creek, gorgeous red salmon were lazily swimming upstream around them. It was pretty neat!
The wedding was held on the shores of Cotton Wood lake at a private home. It was such a gorgeous day! Everyone felt lucky after all the rain we had been having.
All the men wore shot gun shells filled with flowers.
Even Gramma got in on the theme and wore those rubber boots!
In a nearby field we found wildflowers! Alana’s favorite!
Prospector glam means gold and LOTS of it!
Alaskan honey and home made wild berry jam! What a perfect takeaway for the guests!
This way to Happily Ever After!
On the shores of Cottonwood Lake, Alana’s eyes were filled with tears as Cory gave her her ring. She saw it for the first time right then.
They ended with high fives and hugs for everyone.
They released dove shaped balloons into the air!
A really fun Bluegrass Band played some toe tapping music!
The father daughter dance was one for the books. You could tell that Alana and her dad have a very special relationship.
Alana’s mom was hilarious as she pretended to stab the cake she had made.
This little Groomsman was so cute! He spotted all of Alana’s rocks in the centerpieces that had been spray painted gold and thought that it was the most generous party favor ever! Real gold nuggets for everyone! See, it has to be real… it matches Alana’s wedding ring!
That was when the dancing really started!
Cory and Alana, thanks so much for having us at your beautiful prospector glam wedding! Every little bit was a treat!

And I just wanted to give a huge shout out to my second shooter, Leslie! She was amazing and fun… and worked really hard… and lost a shoe in the mud… Thanks so much!
