Mel and Ted were married at the Best Western at Lake Lucille in June.
When I arrived, all the men were waiting for the ceremony and watching float planes land on Lake Lucille.
I met up with Mel as Beverly Popesque was finishing up her amazing hair and makeup magic.
All of Mel’s baubles and pretties just drew me. I could have played with my macro lens and those for hours!
Stunning Mel! 🙂 I am loving her style.
Classic beauty!
Willow was the perfect ring bearer dog! So well behaved!
Ted’s expression while Mel walked down the aisle can only be described as glowing! Then his happiness translated to tears. I have lots of photos of the waterworks, but I am saving them just for Mel and Ted to savor. He is in love with that lady, that is for sure.
There is certainly some family resemblance! Ted and his son are peas in a pod, and Mel and her daughter are just the same… and it especially shows in their expressions when cracking up!
I hadn’t ever shot in the Best Western upstairs room… and found that it is perfect for smaller and more intimate events like this one! Love those ceilings! Mel’s decor perfectly complimented the classiness of the space.
Such sweet moments between Mel and Ted during their first dance!
As party favors, Mel burned their name and date into wooden honey wands and tied them up with jute. How cute, huh! And because their sweet doggie was the ring bearer, they used Alaskan Quarter rings they made themselves… (Google it! It is very cool!)
Mel is so creative… Instead of a traditional guest book that gets put on a shelf and never opened, they decided to have their guests sign a piggy bank! Every time Mel & Ted put their coins inside, they will remember their wedding and save up for anniversary fun!
Instead of a traditional wedding cake, Mel hired a local bakery to make mini cheese cakes in jelly jars, and then offered the toppings of your choice! She is just so full of fun ideas!
Then we snuck outside to make some gorgeous bride and groom photos.
Mel’s and Ted met in Nome… so when Mel pulled out her alaskan mukluks it was perfect!
They just have WAY too much fun together!
Mel’s gown had some gorgeous shear panels attached to the back.. just right to use in the brisk wind that had come up! Such a stunning lady!
Congratulations to Mel and Ted!
