The Roberts Wedding

What a gorgeous couple! I just loved everything about these two… from the dress… to the cake… to all those details that Tawnya spent so much time and planning to make happen… It was just fabulous, unique and so very Alaskan. This is a pretty long blog post, but there are just soo many beautiful photos, I had a really hard time choosing.

We met up with Tawnya and her girls (plus one very adorable baby nephew) at a hotel for the hair and makeup by the fabulous Heather Wagoner of Satori Day Spa.

The Wedding was to be held at Jamie’s parent’s home… They have really made their home beautiful. The perfect place for a wedding with a pond and fountain… gorgeous lawn and landscaping.

We told Jamie to go hide his eyes…. and brought out the bride for some super fun portraits with the “mud frog”. I love it that Tawnya was game for anything…. I had to give her a piggy back ride over a big patch of mud to get these… but it was so worth it! 🙂

The first glimpse…

Tawnya and Jamie wanted to save the reading of their personal vows for a time when there was not a crowd…so they did that then… Jamie, you are sooo funny! 🙂

Oh this one of Tawnya and her niece just makes me smile. So sweet. Look at her little curls!

This is my favorite shot of the day. Well maybe ONE of my favorite shots of the day. (There are so many!!) It is super fun, anyhow.

The rain came (as it seems to a lot this summer) so we shifted the ceremony from the pond to the tent. And Tawnya was so sweet through it all… a dream bride to work with. I can’t tell you how many times that day she said “Rain on your wedding day means a life full of blessings.” I love that perspective on life…. and how flexible she was. A rare gem.

Haha, check out Tawnya’s nephew, baby Colt. He has some serious eyes! He is just too cute in his little suit and tie!

Tawnya and Jamie got engaged at Settlers Bay Golf course…. and their cake was made by family and friends to reflect the story. It was super cute!

Tawnya and her “hit and run” approach was very effective….. 😀

The wedding was filled with laughter… I love being around happy people. It sort of rubs off on ya! A reflection… 🙂 It sort of reminds me of a hologram… ha ha.

Thanks to Tawnya and Jamie for allowing me to be a part of your gorgeous day. You both were amazing! And I pray that the rain you had on your wedding day does indeed give you a life of blessing together!
