Brittany & Zach June 21, 2020
Palmer Train Depot
At weddings, I am always looking for a theme. I’m trying to discover what is in the heart of a family.
At the Saunders beautiful wedding in downtown Palmer at the Train Depot, the theme of the day was family and fathers.
Their wedding happened to fall on Father’s Day, and both the bride and the groom’s fathers had recently passed on. And while we celebrated the union of these two wonderful people, the shadows held the memories of those who were missed.
Zach’s mom pinned his boutonniere.
While Zach’s dad wasn’t there, Zach carried his ashes around his neck.
Beautiful Brittany was surrounded by her ladies as she prepared for her wedding.
Everyone worked together to get ready!
Zach’s daughter was the cutest little bug all day!
Ready! And looking gorgeous!
The mountains were out! It was a sunny sunny day!
She is sooo cute!
It is pretty special that we did this photo on this bench… this is the place of the very last photo Brittany has of her dad.
Spin, Spin!
These two new little siblings are the best of friends!
So cute!
Back in the prep room, it was time for some shots!
Instead of a guest book, the guests put their best wishes on a puzzle piece!
Under the gazebo, the guests were beginning to arrive!
When the flower girl threw her petals, there was a gust of wind! I have never seen the petals swirl away quite like this!
Brittany arrived to the ceremony in style!
This is the look that every bride wants to see as she walks down the aisle.
A new family!
What a fun crew!
The reception was decorated so beautifully.
Never was a man missed more than during the father daughter dance. Brittany’s uncle stood in for her dad for that poignant moment.
Half way through the song, Zach picked up his daughter and joined in the dance
There were moments of unbridled joy!
A song was played in honor of the fathers. Everyone held each other and cried. Deep love is sometimes accompanied by deep grief.
Zach and Brittany followed it with their first dance!
The shoe game is always so much fun!
They blindfolded Zach as he removed the garter, and one of the groomsmen spoke over Brittany’s shoulder
This little guest thought the cake smash looked like fun so she requested to join in!
Cornhole!
They used frosting and cupcakes to paint on the getaway vehicle!
Thanks so much for including us in your lovely wedding!
