The Stewarts were married at Jocelyn Peony Farm in Homer Alaska. And what a venue! I can just imagine how great the view is! When we arrived to take photos of Nolan we got a glimpse, but soon after… the clouds rolled in. Sarah said it best when she said they were visited by an Alaskan Typhoon!
Imagine this on a sunny day! Oh it would have been glorious!
Haha, Nolan’s playful side came out with this lawn sculpture and swing!
Down on Homer Spit, Room 705 was the scene of the bridal prep for Sarah!
That dress.. that view… what a day!
This little clutch was Sarah’s Grandmothers… it is touches like these that I just love!
Gorgeous!
I showed this one to Sarah and she named it “Before the typhoon.” Appropriate, haha.
They hadn’t seen each other yet… but they held hands and looked at Homer’s beautiful views.
And then she turned… and was in his arms.
A walk along the ocean, is just what they needed.
We enjoyed that taste of sunshine so much!
It was time to head back to Jocelyn Peony Farm… and what a setting! By then, the rain had really begun in earnest. We spent as little time outdoors as possible, trying to persevere that gorgeous hairstyle!
The new family! These kids couldn’t be happier!
The bridesmaids were lovely, but I think those little flower girls stole the show!
That rain didn’t stop Sarah from having her gorgeous outdoor ceremony! I think that things like rain bring guests together and creates a sense of solidarity.
This kid.. oh my goodness, Jackson is a hoot.
The flower girls announced the entrance of the bride!
Sarah’s Father led her down the aisle, and no one could be sure if it was tears or rain on his cheeks.
Amanda got a fun photo of me taking photos of the vows… we were really hunkered down out of the rain!
Married! I love how he dropped the umbrella for the kiss!
The couple had a few moments alone to process and enjoy their first few moments as Mr. and Mrs. We may have spied on them through the window…
We took a few photos of the two of them out under the rain… and I am glad we did! It certainly makes a great story!
Ahh, there are the peonies…
What a cutie!
What lovely decor! Sarah had through of everything…
Wedding photos from their families!
The toasts were so special! Tears, hugs, laughter, stories, and so much heart filled every second.
But no toast was more special than little Jacksons: “Sarah is going to be my new mother!” He was delighted!
And then there was one of the sweetest father daughter dances I have ever seen. Sarah’s dad had tears literally streaming down… he loves his baby girl, that is for sure!
Nolan and his boys!
The shoe game is always a hilarious part of the reception!
Some guests even danced in the rain!
The celebration continued!
Thank you to Sarah and Nolan for allowing us to be a part of your big day!
