Annemarie and Breton Henry
Alaska Native Heritage Center,
Anchorage, Alaska
To tell the story of Annemarie and Breton, I think we need to flash back to their absolutely stunning engagement session.
We got up early, and it was super cold. Annemarie was about a month recovery from full knee surgery, and it was incredible that she could even get around like she did!
These two are hunting buddies, so you can tell why this is the BEST photo! You’ll see this theme reflected in their wedding!
So gorgeous! I love Alaskan sunrises and romance!
And then the wedding… 5 months later. When I met up with Annemarie to do our final scheduling for her wedding day, we put out our wish list for the weather for her leap day wedding: She wanted crispy white and fresh snow. And she definitely got her wish! It was the perfect wintery day.
She and her ladies finished getting ready at St Patrick’s Cathedral, and there was a wonderful buzz in the air. Everyone was delighted about the day, about the snow, but mostly about the marriage.
I love this one of Annemarie and her brother! Get him, girl!
The fellas were all getting ready and having a good time in another room. We had many laugh out loud moments!
The guests arrived for the ceremony. It was going to be a full mass, so everyone snuggled in for the solemn ceremony.
I was so impressed with all the children during the long ceremony. I don’t think I heard a peep out of a single one! They were so respectful!
Look at this! Snowing with sunshine! Best of both worlds!
My goodness, Breton and his fellas are so hilarious!
Look at that perfect snow!
The reception was decorated so beautifully!
Alaska Native Heritage Center dresses up so nicely!
And things mostly went according to plan!
Annemarie’s gown was stunning! But with all that fluff, I think it had the most bustling points of any gown I have seen in years!
This little guest was a cutie pie!
My goodness… And then the ring bearer and flowergirl danced together the entire night. It was SO cute. 🙂
Baileys and Hot chocolate! The PERFECT combo!
The food was so delicious!
Some big personalities at this wedding! Love it!
The toasts were filled with laughter and tears!
What a cute cake! I love the little tiny hunting rifles on each chair. These guys are the best moose hunting buddies!
So many great laugh out loud stories in those toasts!
And then she danced with her dad. In every wedding this is the moment that I struggle to keep it together. The photographer shedding a couple tears is ok, right?
What a perfect way to spend the evening! All snuggled up in blankets and pulled behind a horse drawn sleigh!
I was trying to pick the best expression, but goodness they are all great! This is so cute!
And then the dancing really kicked into gear! Everyone got their steps in that night!
They had danced the night away… and it was time for the sendoff. The guests and wedding party lit up the sparklers in preparation!
Thank you all so much for allowing us to be truly a part of your big day! It was a gorgeous one!
