Shannon & Colton Perrins
Just like her sister before her, Shanon got ready in her mama’s bedroom with all her ladies and womenfolk surrounding her.
She called Colton one last time before she would see him…
Lexi
Shanon’s hair and makeup was done by Lexi! She does such a good job!
And then she took a quiet moment to read a note that was sent over from her soon to be husband!
With her mom and sister and best friend there to help her, she was ready to put on that most beautiful gown!
Hundreds of tiny buttons… it was going to take a minute.
But they had Shanon’s dad’s surgical tools on hand just in case.
Then her dad came in for a few moments to see her in her gown!
She was stunning!
Could that smile be any more bright? She is a beauty!
So pretty!
There are SO MANY gorgeous photos right here, I could spend the rest of the blog sharing just Shannon’s bridal portraits!
And then all the groomsmen came across the lake on the pontoon. It was standing room only with this many fellas!
It takes some trust to let your guys lead you, off a boat… onto a dock…all the way to your bride. They did it and he didn’t even get wet!
And then she was in his arms. She snuck a quick peck from behind.
I think he is a fan with what he sees!
These guys always make things fun!
Now that is a wedding party!
But the guys aren’t the only ones with personality! We got some sweet smile ones too, but these are always my favorite!
I love this! These are photos of their own parents on their wedding days…
Their officiant was Grant Opland
As they exited, each member of the wedding party did a little dance of some sort!
Shannon’s mom is such an elegant lady!
When we arrived at the reception, it just about made your jaw drop! Blomma Designs had been working tirelessly transforming the Hangar into a stunning venue!
Talk about delicious food! The Bridge Resturant pulled out all the stops with their 5 star service and delicious foods!
April with Frame by Frame Productions made the most amazing engagement story video. It had people laughing through their tears! They even had actual footage of Colton’s proposal out at the families remote lodge.
Their story is sweet, and April told it so well. >>>Here is a link to the proposal video by Frame by Frame<<<
During prayer before dinner, the adorable flower girl was so fervent in her thanks!
Dinner is served! And it was delicious!
Yummm, fresh Alaskan Red Salmon.
Oh the little ones are so cute! I love how all the Colton’s brothers just played and played with them! There weren’t any bored kids at THIS wedding, they had jungle gym uncles and dads to climb and dance with!
I heard a rumor that the groomsmen were decorating the car for the exit. We found out which hangar they were in, and joined for a few minutes!
They were basically shotgunning soda to make enough cans for the project!
Just in time, we made it back for the toasts.
I love how Shanon and Colton chose to have their parents join them on the head table! It was a wonderful way to honor them and to enjoy the day with them by their side! I don’t know if I have ever seen that before!
One thing you need to know about those Perrins boys… they know how to dance!
When the lights were lowered, it was very sweet and romantic!
Shanon’s dad led her to the floor… and it seems appropriate that they danced under an airplane since they are both pilots!
Colton’s dance with his mom was so touching!
And then the dance floor opened up! Shannon’s dad made a beeline for grandma, and she loved being spun around on the dance floor!
It’s so good to see couples that we worked with in the past so happily in LOVE. Kirsten and Austin were married in 2015 and we were so happy to be a part of their day! (Want to see their wedding blog? Click HERE) We just love these two!
The DJ, Greg Porter, certainly knows how to get the crowd out on the dance floor! And it’s no wonder he calls himself the “Fun Slinger for Hire!”
And then it was time for them to exit! What a gorgeous ride!
As they drove away Colton’s mom waved a farewell.
Congratulations to Mr and Mrs Perrins!
And then we began some of my favorite moments of the day: We did a few portraits of just the parents. There is just something about love that has matured beyond the first few years of a marriage… the steady and deep love and commitment of these couples is so gorgeous to me, it almost outshines the new and exciting love of the bride and groom. Growing together over the years is something that is becoming more and more rare. So when you find not one, but both sets of parents that have lasted through life’s bumps, it just makes the people around them say, Ahh yes, it does happen. People can last through decades and still be in deep, deep love.
You guys, Blomma Designs were the wedding coordinators, and I was so impressed! You should see the miraculous changes this husband and wife team made to the reception hanger… It went from an oversized garage type space to a gorgeous wedding reception hall, with the softness of curtains, flowers and their genius decorations! And I have to attest to their amazing organization in coordinating all the different wedding professionals.
We had some fun with Erin’s right hand man, Matt! He is a true character!
And here is April, with Frame by Frame Productions!
