It really is a dream come true!
For many years I have longed for a space to work with my clients indoors. It couldn’t be just any old space, it had to be the space that increased creativity and vision for my photos. Alaska creates many incredible outdoor opportunities for photos… but she also has blizzards and 30 below zero days. Thus the need for a creative space to make my art.
My dream seemed unattainable until I teamed up with two other photographers, and we made our vision a reality. Hanna Thimsen of Relic Photographic and Amber Lanphier from Studio Ardent and Ambience Photography have done a great thing together: we have spent weeks turning our dream into a studio. To make it even better, Be Vintage Rentals has thrown their oar into our boat, and we are featuring many of their fine pieces of event rental furniture and decor. Things that can’t be done alone, suddenly become attainable with a team.
While each of us still maintain our own separate businesses and appointments, The Studio Suite is our shared home for all things photography. We have places to shoot… places to meet… places for makeup artists and hair designers…heck, even our bathroom is decked out and gorgeous!
Speaking of meetings, this is where we will meet with our clients: the consult room. Through the french doors, you can see the lower studio.
This is a set piece for our beloved sessions located in the lower studio. Though I can imagine using this for newborns.. small children… it is going to be perfect!
At our grand opening, the food was incredible! Appetizers, drinks, live music and beautiful surroundings made the night fly by.
This is our fireplace studio. It features some gorgeous natural light, that I can’t wait to take advantage of.
We have had a lot of fun turning our quirky house into the studio of our dreams. Our space has personality you just won’t believe.
The hours and hours of painting to create our shabby beams really was worth it! I love it!
The walls are literally covered with canvases displaying our art.
I was trying to count them up in my mind, and I think we have right around 20 chandeliers to spice up our ceilings.
And for one of my favorite touches, we hired a local artist to paint our “book stairs”. I am so excited to see these finished, because when our library of stairs is complete, it is going to be awesome!
Give me a call and lets book a session at The Studio Suite! You really have to see this place in person to appreciate it.
