Danielle Essary & Evan Weinzirl

I deeply appreciate couples that share a genuine connection. Danielle exudes the ethereal grace of an elf. And Evan views her as his precious. Which is one reason why their wonderful nods to Lord of the Rings through out their wedding decor is so perfect.
Cathy Vang did both the hair and makeup and it was flawless!
Check out that wedding ring! Its an antique!
The ring box says it perfectly: “I am looking for someone to share in an adventure”.
The Teal Door always does such beautiful flower arrangements! I highly recommend their work!
An assortment of wedding shoes for Danielle. She knows about Alaskas rugged weather and was a smart bride to be prepared to stand in snow, and then dance in comfort.
So beautiful! Her hair turned out gorgeous!
An Exotic beauty!
Everyone gathered at the window to watch the first look.
Danielle found her amazing gown at Orainda’s Bridal Boutique. Each layer was unique… glitter and lace. So perfect for her!
I love how her gown seems to come from out of the snow.
Back at Government Peak Chalet, we did lots of family photos with the beautiful mountains in the distance.
Danielle has exquisite taste in her decor!
Government Peak Chalet is perfectly elegant.
Dylan with Wild Rose Weddings and Events always arranges everything beautifully!
The guests began to arrive and the excitement began to mount.
And there she was on her father’s arm. Evan’s face perfectly spoke to his joy.
The couple chose their really good friend, Alex Rearick to act as officiant.
I wish you could hear Evan and Danielle’s hand written vows. They were thoughtful and funny and showed so much love and personality.
And then they stopped under the beautiful chandelier for another kiss.
The celebrations began!
Danielle did the lettering on the mirrors herself! Beautifully done.
I love the grazing boards that Alaska Berry & Board make! So gorgeously presented and TASTY! Perfect for the cocktail hour!
And then began the first dance. They danced to “Your Song” by Elton John
“How wonderful life is while you’re in the world…”
Toasts were up next, and they were equally heartfelt and funny.
Moose’s Tooth, a worldwide famous pizzeria located in nearby Anchorage, was a delightful main course!
Who says you have to have cake? Evan and Danielle fed each other bites of tasty pie from Luci Mae’s instead!
The shoe game always makes everyone laugh! If you have never seen it before you should look it up! It’s a really fun way to get to know the couples and start the night off with fun!
Danielle danced with her father to “I loved her first” by Heartland
… and then Evan danced with his mother to “My Wish” by Rascal Flatts.
And then the guests joined in to dance and to celebrate both their own love and the new couple.
Beer pong, giant Jenga, and corn hole kept the guests happily enjoying the evening.
And then the guests gathered around for ACDC’s “Thunder” drinking game. The rules are simple: Every time the song says “Thunder” the next person starts drinking and keeps drinking until the next time it says “thunder” when the next guest begins. It was a fun way to get photos of all the guests!
And then it was time for the getaway in the crisp Alaskan air!
Danielle and Evan, thank you for allowing Kirsten and I to join your friends and family in celebrating your wedding! It was a real treat!
