Christie and Whiz Wierzbiki
July 9, 2011
Arctic Valley
You gotta know you have a unique couple when a guy named Ron insists that you (and everyone else) call him Whiz.  Whiz is short for Wierzbiki. I think it is probably a pretty great idea to shorten that name because not even I am sure how to spell it.  And you gotta know that Christie really loves him… she took both his hand in Marriage AND his name .  And that is saying something.  I was privileged to be a witness of their sweet  vows… and the party afterwards.  Both were very worth the trip.
Kelsey Gray has been helping me shoot from time to time, and this was one of those times. I snuck a few of his photos into the mix, so enjoy a glimpse of his work too.
It takes a lot of vendors to make a wedding as incredible as Christie and Whiz’s amazing day was:
Cakes by Stephanie;  Hair by Branden Elde; Makeup Mikayla at COR;  Flowers by Shiela at Special Touch; Gown from Arctic Rose; alterations by Celestial Designs; Bridesmaid dresses and flower girl David’s Bridal; Tuxes Men’s Warehouse; Rental items from Party World and Alaska Event Services; and the DJ  was from Minglewood Productions.  The food and decor were created by the loving hands (and elbow grease)  of Christie and Whiz’ dear friends and family.
Christie had rubber boots for her bridesmaids to wear and for decorations… They were super fun to play with! 🙂
Beautiful Lady!
Love this one:
Look at this pretty ring shot by Kelsey! 🙂 Love it!
On the way up to Arctic Valley a cute little bear cub came out to visit with us. He is absolutely adorable, huh! 🙂 I love how he is just covered with dandelion fuzz The ceremony was gorgeous!  Christie filled all the waterboots with gorgeous red roses and used them as aisle decor.
.
Instead of a pillow, the ring bearer brought the rings at the end of his fishing line… and instead of a basket the flower girl brought her rose petals in a fishing net! So creative, I love it!
Christy had the sweetest fishing themed decorations… Personalized bobbers as gifts for the guests… fish bowls and napkins folded like fish. Cute little tackle boxes and canoes… and those adorable waterboots filled with roses were everywhere! Can’t forget photos of the pig roast! You can tell the reception was a great deal of fun!
Sparklers for the getaway were really fun even in the sun!
