Kaitlyn and Pete Wright were married at the Alyeska Prince Hotel in Girdwood with the cutest Beauty and the Beast themed wedding.
Stephen and I met up with Pete and his crew just in time for a whole lotta laughs! Somebody pulled out the man card, and it was… a moment. 🙂
Looking good Pete!
As Kaitlyn was finishing up her hair and makeup down in the spa I snuck in a few detail photos of all her pretty things.
There was an air of calm and anticipation as Kaitlyn got ready to meet her groom. You can see the joy evident in her face as she prepares while surrounded by her friends and family who had come in from all across the country to make this big day extra special.
There were lots of laughs!
Simply gorgeous!
Both the bride and the scenery were simply stunning that day. While their theme was Beauty and the Beast, the snow swept hills of the Alyeska ski resort perfectly matched this Snow White bride and her beautiful fairytale wedding.
Kaitlyn looks like she should be on the cover of a romance novel! She is so gorgeous!
What a lovely group of ladies! These flower girls loved spending their time next to their new aunt, the fairytale princess, watching dreams come true in real life. Sleek and elegant, fairytale meets formal – the details of this wedding were superb!
The smallest wedding attendants may also have been the cutest… and perhaps the most cheeky! The signs drew quite a chuckle when these darlings strolled down the isle to take their places along side the wedding party.
Instead of a unity candle, this couple chose to mix two colors of sand together into an hourglass. It’s a beautiful symbol – love endures the test of time. And talk about a fun conversation piece for years to come! It’s marvelous, the way they look at each other. They’ve found a treasure, and they’re never letting go!The wedding party made their way outside immediately following the ceremony for some group shots. At the beginning of February, it was definitely a little on the chilly side, but Pete and Kaitlyn and their wedding party were troopers. We endured through the freezing temperatures and made some beautiful photos together.
It almost seems too intimate to intrude, but you can certainly sense the deep connection that they share. While these two are quiet by nature, their eyes speak the volume of their love to one other. These are perfect moments.
The light spilling from the Alyeska Prince Hotel provides such a beautiful warmth for this couple on such a cold winter’s day. And, oh, those mountains and that sea of clouds – could you ever ask for a better backdrop?
Pete made sure Kaitlyn was plenty warm by keeping her right by his side during the photo shoot. Besides, this couple was so happy to be together, I don’t think the chill bothered them one bit!
Kaitlyn had the rose petals spread in designs down the aisle in lieu of her flower girls carrying baskets. Her flowing train spread them as she walked toward her groom. What a neat idea! The decorations were simple and elegant, and the hand of Disney was evident all around! Their Beauty and the Beast theme came alive in these centerpieces. Aren’t they magical?
As always, the food at Alyeska was amazing! (And you can tell from his face that little nephew Paxson thinks so, too!)
Lamb or chicken with couscous and vegetables for the grown ups, and chicken strips or macaroni and cheese for the kids. The plating looked divine, and the taste certainly matched!
So many great moments at the reception!
The cake was as delicious as it was adorable. Beauty and the Beast cake toppers – how cute is that? What a little sweet heart! And what a perfect reminder – everybody knows, photographs are a great way to remember weddings! 😉
I love the sprinkling of glitter from the bouquet as it flies above the crowd – magical fairy dust, perhaps? And the look on her face is so beautiful. She certainly is a fairytale princess!
Confetti flew through the air as these two made their getaway. Such a fun wedding with a great group of people!
Thanks, Kaitlyn and Pete, for letting us be a part of your fairytale wedding!
